Member-only story
I remember buying physical copies of Shonen Jump US as a kid. Studiously poring over the entire copy front to back, reading series I didn’t even care for. Today the physical edition is no more and paying to read manga is hardly the norm. Most of us are guilty of reading manga on sketchy websites and I am party to this too. However if you feel that you would like to give back to some of these authors and pay for manga legally then is one option this reader suggests. I’m talking about Viz Media’s Shonen Jump subscription.
Shonen Jump Subscription
The maker has been the American arm of the Japanese publishing giants Shueisha and Shogakukan. Home of classic and iconic series like Dragon Ball Z, One Piece, Naruto, Death Note and so on. Today the maker offers a digital Shonen Jump subscription at the price of $2 USD a month, equal to $24 USD a year if you chose to continue for that long. A pretty affordable price in my opinion for hours and hours of reading material.
